On Repeat – A Poem For Valentine’s Day
Posted On 10/02/2023
Pluck this red rose, if you must,
unused silent marbles gather dust.
Pluck this red rose, can’t you see?
Your ex ghosted ten texts in a week.
Pluck this red rose, for more sex.
Mortal body pay it forward to the next.
Pluck this red rose, not a weed.
Love is a sexually transmitted reprise.

I had my 1 mandatory day in work at Crewe today and the business has a Valentine’s menu. It’s garlic bread. Plus, cheese & mac. Brontë knew nothing.
Nothing more romantic than turning up day in day out day in day out and being there for people IMHO
